Tuition Policies

  • Payments can be made online via the customer portal (credit card or ACH), by mailing in a check, or dropping off check or cash at the studio.  For online payments, a convenience fee of 2.99% + 0.30 for credit cards and 0.8% for ACH is added.

  • There are no refunds given on registration fees.

  • There are no refunds or credits given on tuition unless Studio 22 cancels a class due to insufficient enrollment or a documented illness or injury has been reported.

  • All returned checks will incur a $25.00 fee.

  • Monthly tuition is due by the 1st of the month.  (September payments are due by the first class.)  Payments received after the 10th will incur a $25 late fee.

  • Monthly tuition is due prior to the first class in September and then on the 1st of each month in Oct., Nov., Dec., Jan., Feb., Mar., Apr., and May.

  • The first semi-annual payment is due before the first class in September and by Jan. 10.  Late payments will forego the discount offered.

  • If account is 30 days overdue, dancers must refrain coming to class until the account is brought up to date.

  • Monthly payments are for a portion of the year, not a specific month of lessons, and a space is reserved for your child in a specific class based on this schedule. Therefore, tuition payments will be charged every month regardless of whether you attend the scheduled class.

  • All fees and tuition must be paid in full BEFORE recital, competition, summer camp or classes, for the dancer to be eligible to participate in the event.

  • Yearly tuition is based on 34 weeks of classes.  Should the season need to be extended, accounts will be charged accordingly for the extra classes.

  • Students are encouraged to do makeup classes in another class for any class missed due to illness or conflict.

  • Classes that are cancelled due to inclement weather or emergencies will hold makeup classes after two classes have been cancelled.  Students are encouraged to do makeup classes for any classes cancelled due to inclement weather.

  • If conducting classes virtually, tuition payment, due dates, and attendance policy remain in effect.

  • Students withdrawing from classes must do so in writing.  No refunds will be given on tuition paid; students are encouraged to complete all classes paid for.

  • Payments for short session classes (6-8 weeks) are due in full at the time of registration.  No refunds are given for these classes unless the studio cancels it for insufficient enrollment.

Virtual Classes:
We are equipped to pivot to online virtual classes via Zoom should any unforeseen event occur that would inhibit the studio from physically opening. Such events could include but are not limited to snow days, unsafe building condition, or government mandated orders.

Costume Fees

Students have the option to participate in our annual recital held at the end of May or the beginning of June.  Each class will be assigned a professional costume ordered from a major costume company.  Because costumes are made to order, they must be ordered early in the year to arrive in time for photo day.  To alleviate the burden of a lump sum payment, costume fees are spaced out over the first three months of classes.  Students will be charged $26.59 ($25.00+tax) per class, per month (Sept., Oct., & Nov..).  Students joining late will be asked to catch up with payments.  A $10 late fee will be added to your account for any costume fee that has not been paid by Nov. 10.

Costumes must be paid for in full before one can be ordered for your dancer.  Students that withdraw from classes before Nov. 10, will receive 100% refund on costume fees.  Students that withdraw between Nov. 10-Dec. 10, will be refunded less a $25 restocking fee.  Students who withdraw after Dec. 10 will receive their costume provided it was paid for in full; no refunds will be given.

Other Fees

  • Class Attire & Shoes - Students are required to wear appropriate dance attire and shoes for each class they attend.  Affordable options are made available through our studio store.  Please see the studio dress code to see what is required for each class.

  • Photo Day (optional) - Students have the option to have their photos taken (groups and individuals) during our studio scheduled photo day.  A professional photographer will come to the studio to do this.  We encourage all students to participate in photo day as all of the group photos are printed in our annual recital program.  There is no fee to have your pictures taken.  One to two weeks after photo day, parents will have the opportunity to view the photos and purchase a package if they choose.

  • Recital Tights - Students in Intro to Dance, Mini's, and Combo classes will have a new pair of tights included with their costume.  All level 1 classes and up will need to purchase a new pair of tights in the correct color and style needed for their dance prior to photo day and for use only at photo day and the recital.

  • Recital Tickets - Our dance season culminates with an end-of-the-year recital.  Families will have the option to purchase tickets for themselves and their loved ones to see their dancer's hard work.  More information, such as price and how to purchase, will be available in the recital information packet distributed later in the season.

  • Recital DVD/Digital Download (optional) - Parents will have the option to purchase a commemorative DVD/Digital Download of our annual recital.  More information, such as price and how to purchase, will be available in the recital information packet distributed later in the season.
